Girl's love pink

Like any 7 year old girl, our daughter absolutely loves pink. So naturally her birthday party had a pink theme.

Pink combined with a love of dancing made it a Daytime Disco Diva Party for 18 excited young girls.  With music pumping out Hannah Montana and all the High School Musical hits, the disco ball spun and shined.  The fog machine was a huge hit too, with the coloured lights illuminating the scene.

The take home party bags were pink and purple noodle boxes, with personalised labels and jammed full with diva girl goodies like tiaras, jewellery and lollies.

The sugar rush may have been a bit too much for some, but the dancing and laughter didn't seem to stop.

Relaxed Dandelion Wedding Theme

Here's the first draft of Rachael and Ryan's stationery for their special day.  We have kept the invitations simple, and the colours will match the bridesmaid's dresses perfectly.

I love the images that come to mind when I think of the silver tufts that are blown in a gentle breeze - Dandelions.  The idea of a carefree wedding is wonderful, and this evokes a carefree spirit of fun and cheer, just what the perfect day should hold.

Taraxacum officinale, the Common Dandelion (often simply called "dandelion"), is a herbaceous perennial plant of the family Asteraceae (Compositae). It can be found growing in temperate regions of the world, in lawns, on roadsides, on disturbed banks and shores of water ways, and other areas with moist soils. T. officinale is considered a weedy species, especially in lawns and along roadsides, but it is sometimes used as a medical herb and in food preparation. As a nearly cosmopolitan weed, Dandelion is best known for its yellow flower heads that turn into round balls of silver tufted fruits that blow away on the wind.

Disco Divas Party

We seem to be surrounded by disco balls. One big one, and loads of tiny ones for decorations and party bags.

Loving Chandeliers and the latest Harry Potter

What is it about Chandeliers that I love?  If, like me, you have seen the latest Harry Potter I'm sure you couldn't help but admire the chandelier in Gringotts.  So it's inspired me to come up with a design to incorporate them.  Although on this paper version you don't get the sparkle or glitz, you do get a mix of the traditional with a modern twist - just how I like it.

The colours can be altered to which ever colours you have choosen, or we can work on a great combination together.

Have something that's inspired you? Ask us how to create something unique for you.

Colour - a difficult choice or not?

I guess you're either a "theme" person or you're not. If you are, I'm sure one of the first choices you will have made in your wedding plans will have been a colour scheme for your big day.  It may be bright, it may be pastel, but whatever it is you're going to stick with it all the way through and not give a second glance at alternatives. That usually makes it much easier for me when designing your stationery :-)

On the other hand, if you're not so big on themes, deciding on a colour scheme can be difficult as you are presented with so many different options as you progress through your planning and all of them just look great don't they!

When we undertake your bespoke design we will show different concepts with colour, as well as design so you can make a confident choice. The concept below uses the same colours, but with totally different effects.  As part of the process we go through with you, you are able to envision the final product so you know you will be completely happy when you receive the finished artwork or gorgeous invitations ready to post.

Call or email us to talk about your special day, and how we can make your stationery reflect your plans.

Anyone for High Tea?

High Tea is a great way to get friends and family together to celebrate your upcoming nuptials.  Kaylee decided on High Tea instead of a Hen's Night or Kitchen Tea.  We created this invite with an formal font and design, that hinted at a bit of fun with the modern bride's silhouette.
