The perfect purchase today. Love my new brown suitcase. It is exactly the right size and colour to go with the suitcase that used to be my nana's.

Bow Ties back in style
for the man in your life...
Bow ties are back in fashion, and look better than ever. Not necessarily worn with a tuxedo, but with a well cut, and perfectly fitting suit.

Class is back in style, but with your own quirky, unique touches.
Here's how to tie a traditional bow tie:
Start with the end in your left hand extending 4 centimetres below that in your right hand.
Cross the longer end over the shorter end and pass through the loop.
Form the front loop of the bow by doubling up the shorter end (hanging) and placing it across your collar points
Hold this front loop with your thumb and forefinger of your left hand. Drop the long end down over the front.
Place the right forefinger, pointing up, on the bottom half of the hanging part. Pass up behind the front loop
Poke the resulting loop through the know behind the front loop.
Even ends and tighten.

The Sweetest Bonboniere
A simple and effective bonboniere are jars of lollies. Recently I have seen many weddings that have a lolly bar, and guest are provided with small jars to fill and take home. Such a great way to get guest talking and interacting.
Here are jars bought from a local budget shop filled with lollies and a simple ribbon to bring the colours together.
Here are jars bought from a local budget shop filled with lollies and a simple ribbon to bring the colours together.
These jars I found at an op shop, and I think they could work really well as all different shapes and sizes. These are old spice bottles that I have washed and sterilised. I painted the lids, added white tulle around the bottles and a classic black ribbon to finish them off.
DIY Wedding Hanging Decorations
Here are a selection of easy to make Wedding Hanging Decorations
Paint your foam balls so that the colour compliments the decorations you have chosen.
Here I went with a black and white theme.
What you need:
- foam ball - they come in a range of sizes
- paint
- glue and glue gun
- decorations
- ribbon
- pins
Paint your foam balls so that the colour compliments the decorations you have chosen.
With your glue gun adhere you decorations. Here I used a packet of scrapbooking flowers
To hang your decoration glue, then pin a length of ribbon at the desired length.
I also added a few embellishments with some pearls
This is a really cheap alternative. I used a second book and cut out flower shapes.
To give an extra dimension I used tracing paper and pages from an old book.
And this one is made from paua shell
The option is endless and can be made to fit any theme, or colour scheme

I love the natural tones of browns so here's my example. You will need the following:
- 2 MDF Boards
- The letters for what you want to spell out
