Design on the catwalk

Recently some of our work featured on the catwalk at the When Freddie Met Lilly Spring Valentina Collection launch evening.  We were super excited to have one of our framed chalkboard prints under the beautiful arbour covered in gorgeous flowers.  Our chalkboard come in a variety of sizes and finishing options, with unframed pieces starting from as little as $80 for the large size below. We also hire out a range of different sized and styles of framed options.

Our 'Here comes the Bride' banner also appeared, being carried by Zoe, the beautiful flower girl. If you have little people in your bridal party our banners are a great accessory that will have everyone captivated. Our one sided standard banners start at $75, and for just a little more we can personalise the other side to announce the newlyweds after the ceremony.

View a small highlight from the evening on our instagram account.

One of the important differences with working with LaPapeterie is our ability to print and finish just about everything we create, from the smallest unique invitations to huge posters, banners and backdrops for just about any occasion. That means you don't have to go anywhere else to get the designs printed on special paper or odd sizes - we do it all on site.

Cake Topper DIY - Vintage Inspired

I love to try out what I see in magazines, Pinterest, facebook and the like. After seeing a vintage inspired cake topper I thought I would give it a go for a family birthday. I think it worked really well, and would be fantastic for a vintage styled wedding.

So here's the simple instruction.

What you will need:

  • Printed out of your letters
  • String, twine or ribbon
  • Wooden skewers
  • Glue

Firstly print out your letters in the diamond shape as below. It's a good idea to measure out how big you words will be compared to your cake so you have the right proportions.

Cut out each of your diamonds and fold them in half.

Lay them on the ribbon and cut then tied the ribbon to the skewers so they are evenly spaced.  Then glue the paper together with the ribbon at the top fold.

Finally it's just placing them in your cake.

Birthday Invite Designs

Recently there seems to have been so many birthdays, and lots of birthday invitation designs.

Any celebration is a wonderful day, and working before hand to design an individual invitation and accessories is part of the planning fun.

Here's the latest invites we did for a 9th Birthday at the client's local skating rink.

We incorporated lots of colour, and some retro looking skates.

We love them!

Individual designs like this start at $40.
We can organise the production for you, or you can just order the finished design.
